During the 2011-2012 flying seasons, the BCHPA funded a large project to rework the Mara Lake launch, South of Sicamous BC. A bobcat and Backhoe were used to triple the size of the area as well as sculpt it into a less abrupt drop off. To insure that the work did not erode away, the site was dressed again in the spring of 2012 and grass was seeded. This, along with much tree brushing below, will hopefully secure safer use far into the future. More photos...
